Beetroot is a power house of nutrition, rich in iron, magnesium, fibre and B vitamins. Adding a little beetroot to their chocolate balls provides additional sweetness. One of the main causes of iron deficiency is not eating sufficient iron.
1 cup of medjool dates, remove stones
1 cup of almonds or cashew nuts
1 cup of desiccated coconut
1 tablespoon of flax seeds
1tablespoon of chai seeds
1/2 a cup beetroot grated
1- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
Add all ingredients to your blender and blitz until well combined.
Roll into balls and coat with coconut (optional)
