These easy protein balls are so simple you don’t even need a blender.
They make a great after school snack, energy boost after the gym, or a delicious evening treat with a cup of herbal tea.
6 tablespoons of you favorite protein powder
½ a cup of almond meal
1 tablespoon of cold pressed coconut oil or macadamia nut oil
2 tablespoons of nut butter
2 tablespoons of cacao powder
Combine protein powder, almond meal, cacao powder and stevia in a bowl.
In a saucepan add oil and nut butter and stir over a low heat until melted and combined.
Stir the oil mixture into the dry ingredients until combined.
Add a few drops of water, if necessary, until the mixture reaches dough like consistency and sticks together well.
Roll into 12 small balls or place in a small baking tray and slice into 1.5 cm squares.
If you are feeling creative dust with sesame seeds, cacao or shredded coconut.
Refrigerate or freeze until you are ready to eat then.
They keep in the refrigerator for one week and the freezer for one month.
